The name Novem Car Interior Design stands for high quality automobile adornments and decorative functional elements, which are sold worldwide. Novem leads the world market in decorative elements made of quality wood. In addition the company also specialises in innovative surfaces made of aluminium, carbon, wire cloth or synthetic materials, which makes it a prestigious all-round supplier. By professional programme management Novem is able to operate as a system supplier for all decorative parts. Its customer base includes many well-known automobile manufacturers. The workforce is currently approx. 3700 in 11 production locations worldwide.

Project tasks and objectives:

1. 1998 saw the start of the partnership with ai informatics, with the complete outsourcing of the mySAP system environment, incl. support and ongoing development of the EDI applications with operational support for JIT/JIS processes. The first phase covered 250 users at locations in Germany and Slovenia
2. Phased extension of SAP operations to the locations in Honduras, China, USA, IT and CZ. Today there are approx. 350 SAP users worldwide
3. Provision of WAN, incl. satellite links on the basis of MPLS
4. Europe-wide client roll-out in only 3 months, incl. standard client development (imaging) for approx. 800 clients
5. Europe-wide exchange consolidation to 2 locations (SLO and Germany), including operations
6. Data centralisation and installation of a share point portal solution for the R&D department at headquarters
7. Set up of a Microsoft CRM and Microsoft project server environment
8. Today the communication volume between Novem and its partners/suppliers/customers is approx. 460.000 IDOCs per month
