The SPHEROS Group specialises in the development and manufacture of air-conditioning, heating and roof windows for buses. In this field the company is regarded as a technological and market leader, above all on an international basis too. The innovative and fast growing medium-sized automotive supply company was created when it was separated off from the bus division of the Webasto group.

Project tasks and objectives:

1. Because of the separation from the parent company it was necessary to set up complete and new ITK infrastructures on an international basis
2. A new ERP system across the various locations was required
3. The concept was to cover the development, set-up and roll-out of new client hardware and a WAN network
4. In addition to the implementation of the required infrastructure, the SPEED AS solution was to go live in only 4 months in the locations in Germany and France, with the focus on finance, invoicing and human resources
5. After a further 3 months the entire logistics section was also to be linked up

Highlights:

1. Project implementation in 4 and 7 months, with the link-up of 180 users
2. Conception of a completely new ITK infrastructure, including networking across different countries
3. All SPHEROS company locations are connected on the basis of a uniform data system
4. Creation of uniform and transparent processes across all levels
