Project tasks and aims:

1. Basic implementation and management of SAP technology in all areas of the company, including roll-out in the national subsidiaries
2. Ensuring stable operations with fast and flexible response to requirements, the integration of a transparent price model for converting fixed costs to variable costs and cost minimisation
3. Integration of the latest communications solutions
4. Initially remote operation of the customer's own SAP infrastructure and server landscape by ai informatics
5. At stage 2, migration of the SAP system environment including the transfer of all hardware components to the ai informatics computer centre
6. At stage 3, implementation of operational responsibility for the complete non-SAP system environment at the German and international MAXDATA locations, including transfer of employees

Highlights:

1. Mastering the challenge of implementing the migration of the complete, highly integrated SAP environment with a production downtime of only 4 hours
2. Transfer of 18 staff in accordance with § 613a
3. SAP basis operation for the complete mySAP.com system environment (Core, BW, CRM, HR, Solution Manager, Internet Sales…) for ~1,000 named users
4. Provision and operation of an online platform for the European data network
5. Provision and operation of fully redundant WAN and internet connections
6. Joint pilot projects in the mySAP.com environment (e.g. CRM ramp-up together with MAXDATA and SAP)
7. Full-service IT infrastructure for outsourcing the entire non-SAP infrastructure

1. Demonstrable cost savings for MAXDATA of 10% for its entire SAP operations on the basis of a detailed IT cost analysis – the savings achieved are checked annually by MAXDATA and ai informatics on the basis of an agreed model
2. Significant cost savings for MAXDATA of >20% for its entire non-SAP IT operations by consolidation and optimisation of IT processes in line with the ITIL standard
3. Contractually defined bonus agreement for exceeding the agreed service level agreements
4. Fairly distributed, detailed and transparent invoicing model on the basis of predefined case-based lump sums
5. Realisation of new efficiency potentials by leaner and perfectly coordinated IT structures
6. High-availability for the R/3 core environment incl. real-time interface preload for installing operating systems and other software SOLUTIONS on PCs in accordance with customer wishes, on the basis of HP-UX Serviceguard and heterogeneous Unix environment
7. Measurement of end-to-end availability of the SAP environment within the customer network, and inclusion in the bonus/penalty agreement within the service contract
